Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope you and your children have enjoyed the summer break – we are looking forward to seeing you all again.
Please find attached a letter regarding arrangements for the school re-opening next week.
Also attached are details of staggered start and finish times for different classes.

For your information packed lunches and school dinners will be eaten in classrooms so that children remain within their class bubbles.

After School club and Breakfast Club will begin again on Monday 7th September. Numbers will be limited for social distancing reasons. Please note that both Breakfast Club and After School Club places will need to be booked and paid for in advance.

Kind regards

FAQs

How can I explain to my son/daughter what school will be like?
It would be helpful to share the information that has been sent home with your son/daughter.  Mrs Lock has also made some videos that can be accessed on social media.  Time will be spent going through the detail with the children on the first day back.

Why have we got staggered start times?
We have risk assessed the site and decided that this is the safest way to get a large number of children in through a limited number of entrances,

Why have we asked children to bring in their own equipment?
This will limit the sharing and cleaning of resources in line with government guidance. We will of course have equipment for children if they need it and once used these will be put in a tray and cleaned at the end of the day.

What will lunchtimes and break times be like?
Outdoor time at lunchtimes and break times will be supervised in an allocated space with the rest of the class.   School dinners and packed lunches will be eaten in the classroom.

What will the classrooms look like?
All the desks will be forward facing.  There will be less resources out and they will be cleaned once they have be used.

How will toilets be accessed and cleaned?
Toilets will be cleaned more regularly and children will be reminded to clean their hands frequently in line with government guidance.

Where will my child’s water bottle be kept?
Water bottles will be kept on the individual child’s desk with them.

Which subjects will be taught?
The full curriculum will be delivered with risk assessments in place for music and PE lessons.
There will be less movement around the site.  Assemblies will take place in classrooms.
